Your Real Estate Insider: Time for a Break!

Time for a Break!

I am officially taking the weekend off. After working every weekend for a long time, scheduling showings conducting open houses, working marketing, etc... I am going to my girlfriends parents in Clarksburg for her grandmothers 80th birthday. Her parents live right next to the mountain where there is no cell phone reception and dial up internet, so i will truly be able to get away. If I am not forced to I tend to never take a break, this time I wont have a choice. It will give me a chance to get re-energized for next week. i leave tomorrow afternoon and wont be back until Sunday night. Have fun without me. Ill see you next week. Aaron

When I first read your blog, I thought it said I'm clinically taking the weekend off!  Woops!  You wrote officially!

How do you know you will come back you might like all that R & R...

After open houses, showings, buyers on fences, I'm ready to pass out!

Enjoy your time off, Aaron.  Everyone needs a little R&R every now and again.

Aaron,

Enjoy the well deserved vacation. Savor the moment in the mountains; tell your girlfriend that you love her, wish grandmamma a great 80th, and come home safe and sound. I understand you are young, but real estate, long hours, no breaks and hard work will catch up to you. It did for me. I forgot my family, my friends and dearest closest to me. Thank God that some of them forgave me for not being there.

God Bless,

Go for it!

Gotta stay balanced.

I'm thinking about taking a few weeks off myself actually.  Been closing quite a few deals and need to de-stress.

I remember in the Corporate world Fridays were a day to be cherished.  In RE, fridays are just another day to prepare for a busy weekend.  Im going to have to take a couple days of soon myself.

Some people make fun of me because I advertise that I'm available 24/7. They don't know, or don't remember, that my phones don't ring every minutes of every hour of every day. When it does ring, I answer it. So when it's not ringing and I don't have an inspection or report to do, I'm "off." Quite simple.

Have fun, though, and remember to take your camera and lots of rechargeable batteries and a battery charger. We want pictures when you get back.

Aaron - Now it's my turn to take a weekend off.  I am heading to San Diego with my family to visit my brother and his family.  Hope you had a good trip.
