I dont know how much of this you have ran into, but this house has been destroyed. I went to view this foreclosure home and couldnt belive how the home had been dismantled by the previous homeowner. I dont know the story but the home is a foreclosure and apparently the homeowner decided to take as much of the house with them as possible. All the interior doors were missing, the vanities were gone, entire kitchen gone, plumbing in basement cut loose, light fixtures gone, even closet shelving and the fireplace mantle were gone. I feel like I am in a cartoon called The Grinch that stole the foreclosure. Below I posted a few pictures, let me know if you have seen something like this. Thanks Aaron
The Mantle Gone!
Kitchen Cabinets, Appliances Gone!
Even the Breakers were taken!
Bathroom Vanity Gone!
Maybe if they would have as spent as much energy trying to pay for the house instead of dismantling it they would have been able to keep it.
Thanks Aaron Poling

One of my neighbors watched another neighbor gut their home last week after being foreclosed on. They took the cabinets and even the fireplace surround. She walked in the house watching this, but said she didn't call the police because she didn't want to get involved... some people.
this is not uncommon.. trust me I see it all the time .. I think to they realize that they could be charged with theft.. as the fixtures belong to the owner and the owner is the bank
Hi Aaron~ That is really pathetic. I guess they had to sell everything for money or else they were being spiteful. Either way, it is PRETTY SAD.
So far I've not seen, but have heard much worse cases than the above.
Unfortunately, this is way too common. I viewed a home where someone had removerd the kitchen, and I mean all of it. It was an ampty room. In the garage they had taken the furnace and water heater, and there was a insert gone from the fireplace, which appeared to ba a gas insert based on the "hook-up" behind the place where it used to be. I feel really bad for the people who are loosing their home, but taking all this stuff from the home is not the answer. I wish them....
All the best

Being on othe side of the forclosure (insuring the properties for the bank), this is really common. Even see where they put hoses in basement and filled up with water. Hard to feel sorry for these types of sitations.
What a nightmare! I understand these people are upset for many reasons, but, geesh! They definately aren't just moving on and exiting gracefully.
Yeah I have seen them where they have even taken the kitchen sink... :)
There has to be a lot of anger there. It's sad to think that this is all justifiable in the minds of the previous owners.
Hi Aaron - I haven't seen anything quite to that degree in the Las Vegas market, but we do see a lot of anger and frustration taken out on foreclosed homes. Sometimes you wonder what the months leading up to that were like for the owner.
Aaron - This one takes the cake. I have seen some bad ones, but never have I seen them take the circuit breakers out of the electrical panel. Unbelievable. - Mike
Aaron, I don't know what's being accomplished when people do that. I understand being upset about losing your house, but if you can't pay the mortgage, you can't accept the bank to let you live there for free...

It seems to be happening alot more lately!! Unbelievable!! I don't understand what they expect to accomplish!!
Wonder why they left the toilet? Maybe it wasn't Kohler? LOL
Be glad you don't live in Florida...the toilet would have been gone as well...and the bath tub, that's if it was still there as well.
Down here...everything is gone, including the light bulbs, the light fixtures, pretty much everything attached is gone. The ceiling fans, the air conditioners, EVERYTHING.
What do they do with this stuff?
Aaron- Very good post and in Las Vegas like Florida, I have seen worse. I showed some homes to some clients and on the MLS agent page there was nothing printed about these homes being fixer-uppers.
When we walked through the door there were no walls, flooring, nothing but a shell. I was so embarrassed!
The first time is a shocker, isn't it; now I am not surprised when I read about it or see it... Guess we Realtors are quick studies, LOL
Yep, seen these and then some. At least this house didn't look trashed. I've seen where the house is practically destroyed from within.
Also saw foreclosures where everything was left behind, even the washer and dryer.
Aaron, It's sad today. We have seen vacant homes being broken into, where the theives are going in and stripping out everything.
