USDA - out of money?

I have just recieved information from a local mortgage company, that the USDA loan program will be out of funding by the end of April 2010. For those of you like myself, that deal with a lot of first time home buyers this will be devastating. I encourage everyone to contact your local, state, and federal government, and let them know how important this program is. Thanks Aaron Poling

REAL training

REALTORS Excelling In Association Leadership is a free self study course offered through the National Association of Realtors. This is a great resource for anyone wanting to find out how to get involved in volunteering in their association. The course is made up of five modules that can be competed in less than two hours each. The course shows how Realtor associations are designed and the different opportunites to get involved in a leadership role. If you want to get involved, this is a great place to start. Plus its FREE! Thanks Aaron

Outstanding Service!

Recently we had our office Top Producer awards. I was awarded with Outstanding service to the Foxcroft Office. I was completly shocked to win the award. The best part was that this award is given by nominations from the other Realtors in our office. I personally nominated other agents who have been a great help to me. I greatly appreciated everyone who nominated me. Thanks Aaron

Education Committee

I was recently asked to join the Education Committee for the Eastern Panhandle Board of REALTORS. I have been considering getting involved with my local board by volunteering for a committee. What could be a better than contributing to the Realtor Education. Today was my first meeting. Although I am just getting my feet wet, its exciting to see how much the committee already has planned. If you are looking for information about EPBR education check out the website www.epbr.net/education.shtml It is updated constantly with new education opportunities. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks Aaron

Come visit the Home Show this weekend in Martinsburg W.V. The home show will be located at the Martinsburg Mall. Last year the home show had about 4,000 visitors, and we are expecting a great turnout this year also. Our Booth will be near GNC, close to the food court. I will be around all weekend but my scheduled booth times are Friday 12-2 and Sunday 3-close. Come out and see me. Thanks Aaron

SFR Designation

I recently recieved my SFR Designation. Watching the market change and seeing client after client needing help work through the housing crisis. I started working with short sale sellers and buyers, to help people through the process. It didn't take long to figure out that this is a difficult and scary process for everyone involved. I learned more taking the classes and webinars for the SFR designation than I did in over a year working through the process. It was one of the best decisions I have made as a agent. If you need help with your short sale or foreclosure, give me a call. Thanks Aaron

Way to go Vince!

I don't typically keep up with whats going on in Hollywood, but recently i learned that actor Vince Vaughn married a REALTOR. I thought this was really cool. After a little research I also learned that he will be starring in a movie named "Realtors" slated for release next year. This will give us some desperately needed entertainment. Way to go Vince!

Focus on the Outcome, not the Income

I just finished a continuing education class about helping a buyer prepare for the buying process. There was lots of good information but there was one thing that really stuck with me. My instructor said focus on Outcome, not Income. Its true that we all work for the money, but that cant be the only reason. If you don't believe in real estate as an investment, you shouldn't be in real estate as a profession. Most agents I know got into real estate because they love the feeling of helping someone reach their dream of home ownership. The best feeling you can possibly have(at work) is handing someone the keys to their new home. I get chills every time. Its natural to let yourself get discouraged in a down market but never forget whats really important. If you love what you do, the money will follow.
